KANSAS CITY, MO. (August 1, 2022)Blue KC is proud to announce Emanuel McCrainey, Department Vice President of Diversity, Equity, Inclusion and Talent, has been named by the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce as a 2022 Ace Award Winner.
The Ace Awards which recognizes leaders in diversity, equity, and inclusion are awarded to up-and-coming senior level managers who advocate for expansion of their company's D&I and/or supplier diversity efforts.

We are pleased Emanuel has been recognized by the KC Chamber for his leadership of our DE&I initiatives and for his commitment to an inclusive culture where employees can be their authentic selves,” said Erin Stucky, President and CEO of Blue KC.
The KC Chamber received a record-breaking number of applicants for the 2022 Ace Awards, providing a challenging task for the selection committee. McCrainey, along with two additional candidates, were honored as award recipients.
“Emanuel’s resume and application really stood out from the crowd,” noted Greg Valdovino, Vice President, Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion at the Greater Kansas City Chamber of Commerce. “Given his diverse life experience, exceptional leadership skills, focus on peer mentoring and commitment to innovation, it was clear that Emanuel was more than deserving of this award.”
The recipients were honored at the KC Chamber’s POWER of Diversity event, the region’s premier celebration of the Metro area’s culturally diverse business community, recognizing diverse workforce members and corporations that have demonstrated a commitment to diversity and inclusion.
