Vital Information on Your Member ID Card
Your Blue KC Member ID card is your key to unlocking all the coverage and benefits offered by your Blue KC health plan.
We recommend that you keep your ID card in a safe, accessible place like your wallet, or download the Blue KC app to access your digital member ID card and take it everywhere you go.
Here’s a closer look at the key information you’ll find on your card.
- Member ID Number – Number used to identify you and your policy. It contains a three-letter alpha prefix, followed by your ID number.
- Suffix – This number is unique for each member covered on your policy.
- Group Number – Number used to classify our ACA Individual & Family Plans.
- Plan Type – Identifies your plan type.
- Network Name – This is the network of hospitals, doctors, and other healthcare professionals that accept your Blue KC policy. It’s important that you see providers in this network to maximize the benefits of your policy.
- In Network Deductible & Out of Pocket Max – This space will include your plan’s applicable In Network Deductible and maximum Out of Pocket amounts.
- QR Code – Scan the QR code to view your benefits summary. If your benefits are not yet effective or you have issues with the QR code, call Customer Service at the number on your ID card.
What to do if you lose your card?
Don’t worry, you can access your digital ID card on your MyBlueKC app or visit your member portal at MyBlueKC.com to order a replacement or print a temporary ID card.
