In response to market demand, Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC) is happy to offer a new EPO product that gives members access to Spira Care as well as copay pricing within the BlueSelect Plus network for needs outside Spira Care Centers.
The Blue KC Health Plan EPO Copay with Spira Care (without HSA):
- Encourages Blue KC members to use Spira Care for their primary care needs where they will incur no additional cost* for appointments or services at Spira Care Centers
- Helps reduce the uncertainty of what services will cost when members see an in-network provider
Spira Care offers primary care for the whole family at nine locations across the Kansas City metro. Spira Care offers:
- Treatment of common medical conditions and minor injuries
- Wellness and sick care appointments
- Behavioral health support for children, teens, and adults
- Diabetes Care Specialists
- Same-day, next-day, Saturday, and evening appointments at most Care Centers.
- Care Guides with nursing and benefit experience to help patients navigate their healthcare in and outside Spira Care Centers
- Comprehensive medication management provided by an Ambulatory Care Pharmacist who partners with the Care Team to help ensure medications are safe, effective, and as affordable as possible
