Employer group open enrollment deadlines for fall 2024
Blue KC offers two open enrollment deadlines – one for physical member ID cards and one for digital member ID cards – to provide flexibility for new and renewing groups.
Employer groups must submit benefit information and open enrollment files/eligibility updates to Blue KC based on the following schedule to ensure new member ID cards are available to members by January 1, 2025:
- October 18, 2024 – Paperwork deadline
- November 21, 2024 – Eligibility file – Physical member ID card
- December 13, 2024 – Eligibility file – Digital member ID card
Please note: Small groups that make plan changes after this timeframe will receive updated member ID cards once their plan changes have been processed. Employees should continue to use their existing member ID cards until replacement cards arrive.
Members can access their member ID cards digitally by logging into their member portal at MyBlueKC.com, where they can view, print, text, or email their ID card. Members can also find their digital ID card at MyBlueKC mobile app.
