Prevent death by suicide – start talking
Death by suicide is often talked about in hushed tones, if at all. It happens every 11 minutes* in the United States yet talking about suicide is uncomfortable and the topic stigmatized. Knowing what to say to someone in crisis can be confusing and wrought with fear of making things worse or violating their privacy.
We need to talk about suicide
Talking about suicide is critical — to divert a person in crisis, to raise awareness, to normalize the conversation. Be there to help raise awareness and talk about suicide with your employees. One way is to share the infographic below – via email, intranet, or print.
