Not Good Enough documentary – Training Module
Free training for coaches, parents and athletes to learn about the mental toll perfectionism places on youth athletes
Launched in March of 2024, this online, self-guided course was proudly created in partnership by the Kansas City Royals and Blue Cross and Blue Shield of Kansas City (Blue KC). The curriculum’s purpose is to increase the impact of the documentary, Not Good Enough. This film is a 45-minute look into the perspective of our youth athletes and the toll perfectionism takes on their behavioral health.
Questions within this course are presented from the lens of the parents, coaches, and players and are designed to stimulate healthy conversations that lead to more enjoyable experiences for everyone involved in the youth sports arena. Although the questions are categorized, they can apply to all three categories of people. The course is intended for all coaches, parents, athletes, and anyone involved with youth sports.
During this course, you will be guided through the documentary and offered follow-up questions while you watch the film. Anyone can take the free course by clicking HERE.
The film is part of the Shut Out the Stigma initiative aimed at providing support for behavioral health as a part of overall health and well-being and focus on removing the stigma around mental health. For more information, go to www.ShutOuttheStigma.com.
